Darien Nature Center
Eight hand painted dinner plates will be auctioned off at the Fifth Annual Darien Nature Center, Festival of Wreaths. Each plate has an original painting of a different holiday wreath. Hands on Pottery in Darien donated the supplies and local artist Virginia Ferrante-Iqbal, donated the artistic talent.Virginia created the plates to celebrate the tradition of the Festival of Wreaths. She said, “ The Darien Nature Center is near and dear to my heart. My children and I have gotten so much out of its wonderful programs and animal exhibits over the years. I am happy to support this local treasure. I am also grateful to Dawn and Jim at Hands on Pottery for all of their support and enthusiasm. ” The dinner plates as well as the many holiday wreaths will be sold at the silent auction from 6-8:30pm on Friday, December 8th at the Darien Nature Center.
